Ceymox ("we", "us", "our") operates the Ceymox Sentinel monitoring platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). This is used to authenticate you and communicate service-related updates.

2b. Store Metrics (from the installed module)

The Ceymox Sentinel module transmits aggregated, anonymized technical and operational data from your store, including:

• Server health: PHP version, memory usage, response times, error rates
• Extension/plugin status and version information
• Aggregated sales totals, order counts, and inventory levels
• Security indicators: failed login counts, file integrity status

No customer PII is collected. We do not receive customer names, email addresses, payment details, shipping addresses, or any other personally identifiable information belonging to your store's customers.

2c. Usage Data

We collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance purposes. This data is retained for up to 90 days.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Display monitoring dashboards and generate alerts
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send service-related emails (alerts, billing, security notices)
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on secured servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encrypted at rest) and access controls to protect your information. Only authorized Ceymox personnel can access your data, and only for support or operational purposes.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and report any suspected security issues to security@ceymox.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Store health and alert history is retained according to your plan's retention period. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where required for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:

• Stripe / Razorpay — payment processing (your card details are handled entirely by these providers; we do not store them)
• Email delivery providers — for transactional emails (alerts, receipts)

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement with us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may affect your ability to log in to the Service.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when changes were last made.
